Title Splash Page to Eyes Of Lucy No. 15, April-June, 1957. A title splash page is a single-panel intro page to the first story of a comic book. It was hand-produced on the comic book industry 11 x 17 illustration board and finished in the standard camera-ready process. The production incorporates pen-and-ink work, archival pigment printing, and physical cut-and-paste headings and text.
I Love Lucy Comics was an actual series from Dell Publishing Co., Inc. from 1954 to 1962. There were no TV episode adaptation stories in the entire series run. This is too bad cuz it woulda been keen to see them adapt shows like the one guest-starring George Reeves as Superman. It might have looked something like our unofficial representation! Our parody company, "Bell Polishing Go Mink," issue replaces the Dell comics’ issue No. 15, April-June, 1957. The exclusive book's title splash page graphic is a reduced color version of the line art. The rest of the comic contains a "Tremendous Trio" origin story chronicling the creation of the Lucy Meets Superman Alternate Comicverse set, plus our parodies of classic comic book ads and features. Please see The Book page for comic contents info.
Our Lucy Meets Superman Alternate Comicverse card is No. 36 of a fictional series of 88 cards issued by our Topps Chewing Gum Co., Inc. cards parody company, "Chopps Stewing Yum No Shrink." The series' setting is 1958.
