Straight outta the movies comes this Bat Lady Comic Book. Murdoch Publishing is a fictional company introduced in the 1955 movie Artists And Models, which stars the legendary comedy team Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. The company's primary publication in the flick is The Bat Lady mag. Dean Martin plays Rick Todd (or his comic book nom de plume, Clarence Richard Todman), an artist who lands a job with Murdoch writing and illustrating a new book titled Vincent The Vulture. Vincent was a character born in the vivid dreamworld of Jerry Lewis in the role of Eugene Fullstack. We imagine these two airborne heroes met in a cross-over Bat Lady issue. The exclusive book's title splash page graphic is related to the front cover theme. The rest of the comic contains a "Tremendous Trio" origin story chronicling the creation of the Bat Lady - Murdoch Publishing Alternate Comicverse set, plus our parodies of classic comic book ads and features. Please see The Book page for comic contents info.
Our Murdoch Publishing Alternate Comicverse card is No. 13 of a fictional series of 24 cards issued by our Chex Cereal parody company, "Flex." It features Freddie Field Mouse, another character created by Jerry Lewis' movie persona. The series' setting is 1955.
